Chaise achetée pour notre fils. Très pratique dans la globalité. Le point le plus important étant le fait que la chaise soit évolutive et s’adapter au développement de l’enfant. Matériel de qualité bien pensé en terme d’ergonomie.

Honestly it probably isn’t worth it for the price with all the other high chairs out there that are decent quality. However I love the newborn insert (sold separately…!) and the height of the chair with it on, the fact the chair can be used by an adult (so potentially can last forever). It is good quality, for sure! I love Bugaboo products and this one is definitely a great one. I’m looking forward to my little boy growing up with it, moving into the next stages of it truly being a high chair with the tray! Just I do question myself on whether I should have succumbed to the hefty price tag. I mean I don’t regret it, but still.. the world is getting expensive and I’m not getting richer!

Bugaboo giraffe adjustable baby high chair. This came flat packed but only took minutes to assemble. The legs just slot into place and are secured by a small screw, a tool for this provided, this can be fiddly as the screw and tool are quite small but you only need to do it once. I must admit this may be out of some customers price range, especially if you have more than one child needing one each, I have 3 grandchildren just a couple of months apart in age so they will have to share for now. It’s so well made and designed that you get much more than what you pay for, this high chair is fully adjustable from babies to teenagers age, even I can sit in it at a young 47!, it’s a proper piece of furniture built to last that adjusts as required. The seat can be adjusted from side to side - not up and down (so the hight does not actually change), the foot rest dose move up and down, just by holding a button each side, it’s very easy to do and locks securely into the chosen position. Just be aware when ordering that chair comes on its own, additional parts are required to fit babies, adding a feeding tray and cushions etc. Measurements are in MM on the packaging, if helpful I’ve put them in CM & Inches: 24 Inches / 61 CM 21 Inches / 54.5 CM 12.5 Inches / 31.5 CM. The seat is super smooth beechwood, all rounded edges, it’s very sturdy and stands well on a hard floor and the carpet. The hight is ideal for having a child eye level while sat at a kitchen or dining table. I like the neutral colours on this one, should suit any decor change over the years. Additional parts come in various colours which is great and I have seen them here on Amazon. I can’t fault this at all and have given a well deserved 5 stars. Add on parts are quite pricey but I may take the plunge and get some soon as the quality is outstanding and I’d love my grandchildren to be able to use it as soon as possible.

The first point to note is that whilst this chair can be a highchair, it is not a highchair unless you purchase an additional kit to convert it to a highchair. I do not have the conversion kit therefore I'm reviewing this as a child's chair. The chair comes with a 2 year warrantee which can be doubled to 4 years by registering the chair's serial number on Bugaboo's website. It was relatively straightforward to construct out of the box. One issue I had is that whilst the allen key was taped to a piece of card, the 4 screw heads required for attaching the legs were pierced into the card and not taped down, thus 2 of the screw heads had worked loose from the card and were rolling around in the box. Fortunately I found them and they hadn't damaged the wood. Once constructed, I handed over the chair to a 10 year old to test. The 1 second adjustment claimed by Bugaboo is a little optimistic. Allow around 5 seconds, but it's certainly easy enough for a child to figure out and adjust themselves. 10 year old sheets the seat and footplate to their desired heights and reports that the seat is very comfortable. In fact they often spend long periods sat in the chair watching TV, drawing or crafting as well as using the chair as a dining chair. It appears ergonomic, giving good lower back support. Their only complaint is that the smoothness of the wood makes it easy for them to slide off. The chair is intended to last until adulthood up to specified weight limit of 100 KG however, despite weighing less than that, as a mid-sized UK 14-16 (probably average for most mums), my hips are too wide to use the chair beyond perching on the very edge of the seat. Another point to note is that the legs, although set out at an angle to make the chair sturdy and prevent it from being toppled over easily, it does have a floor footprint comparable to most highchairs which is larger than that of a dining chair. So if you are purchasing this purely as a child's chair and not as a highchair, this may be something you need to consider if space is a premium in your living or dining room. I received the chair free in exchange for an honest review as part of Amazon's Vine programme. Personally, I would not have purchased the chair due to the cost being priced out of my budget range and the fact that it takes up more space than a dining chair when used as a chair despite the purported longevity of the item. It's a nice chair though and if you have the budget to buy one, along with the space, and perhaps opted to relegate the chair to your child's bedroom, it could work really well for you. The chair was easy to assemble according to my hubby and is sturdy and to be honest looks like a high-quality chair. The only downside is that you need to buy a couple of accessorizes separately when you have a smaller child and it is already expensive, but if you are a Bugaboo fun, I am pretty sure you will be able to buy it.

This is a really nice chair, well made, aesthetically pleasing and the adjustments are smooth, the whole thing feels quality. However, the massive downside is to make it even remotely usable as a highchair for younger babies and children you need to buy an array of accessories which aren’t cheap. For a one year old you’d be looking at the insert with seatbelt at £70 and another £45 for the tray alone. Considering this chair is already over £200 it is extortionate for a high chair when you add up the total cost. It really is a shame as it’s such a lovely seat!

A good product with an absolutely outrageous price tag. £205 for this? It’d better to be able to feed my child and massage them at the same time. The chair itself has an adjustable footrest that can be adjusted without any sort of special tool. The quality is pretty good but definitely not worth the price tag. It has anti slip material on each foot which is nice to have. However, to take full advantage of this chair, you’d have to buy more accessories. When you add all that up, it can surpass £300. All in all, a good quality chair that has a terrible price tag which decreases its price to value ratio.
